Marco Fumagalli

Graduate in Biology Applied to Nutritional Sciences at the University of Milan, he obtained the Doctorate in Experimental and Clinical Pharmacological Sciences with a thesis entitled “Strawberry (Fragaria X ananassa Duch.) tannins as ingredients of nutraceuticals with potential anti-gastritis properties”. He currently holds the role of technician at the Laboratory of Pharmacognosy of the Department of Pharmacological and Biomolecular Sciences ‘Rodolfo Paoletti’, taking care of the preparation and study in vitro study of the biological activity of extracts of natural origin, using biochemistry and molecular biology techniques. The research activity also includes the analytical characterization of the extracts, by liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry, in order to identify and quantify the molecules or classes of molecules contained in them, potentially responsible for the activity of the extract.

Co-author of several publications in national and international journals, many of them peer reviewed with impact factor. He has also participated in numerous national and international congresses with posters and oral presentations.
