With her thesis entitled “Ethnopharmacological investigation for the validation of Achillea moschata Wulfen in gastric inflammation”, carried out in the Laboratory of Pharmacognosy, Nicole Maranta won the Italo Taddei award, assigned by the Italian Society of Phytotherapy – S.I.Fit. as part of the XXXI National Congress of Phytotherapy, which took place in Brescia from 28 to 30 April.
The “Italo Taddei” award is awarded to the author of a thesis relating to the study of the chemical and biological properties of medicinal plants and the current or potential therapeutic use of their complex derivatives or individual secondary metabolites. The prize is awarded to the thesis considered to be of greatest scientific interest according to the vote of the members in good standing present at the XXXI National Congress of Phytotherapy and involves the delivery of a cash prize of 1,000 euros and an official certificate.
