{"id":2081,"date":"2025-06-24T11:50:42","date_gmt":"2025-06-24T09:50:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/farmacognosia.unimi.it\/profilo\/safwa-moheb-el-haddad\/"},"modified":"2025-11-07T15:48:19","modified_gmt":"2025-11-07T14:48:19","slug":"safwa-moheb-el-haddad","status":"publish","type":"person","link":"https:\/\/farmacognosia.unimi.it\/en\/profilo\/safwa-moheb-el-haddad\/","title":{"rendered":"Safwa Moheb El Haddad"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Safwa Moheb El Haddad received <strong>her master&#8217;s degree in Pharmacy<\/strong> in October 2024, doing his thesis internship at the Pharmacognosy Laboratory of the Department of Pharmacological and Biomolecular Sciences \u201cRodolfo Paoletti.\u201d The thesis, titled <em>\u201c<\/em>From the ethnopharmacology of Niger to the study of the anti-inflammatory properties of<em> Prosopis africana <\/em>(Guill. &amp; Perr.) Taub. in gastric cells<em>,\u201d<\/em> investigated the <strong>potential of<\/strong> natural extracts and the ethnopharmacological aspect of some <strong>plants traditionally used in Niger in the treatment of gastric inflammation.<\/strong> The thesis was <strong>the winner of the Italo Taddei Award<\/strong> as part of the XXXIII National Congress of Phytotherapy.   <\/p>\n\n<p>After graduating, she continued her work in the Laboratory of Pharmacognosy as a volunteer, subsequently obtaining a scholarship for promising graduates. Her research focuses on the <strong>anti-inflammatory activity of natural extracts<\/strong> through <em>in vitro <\/em>experiments on gastric cells, involving pathogenic bacteria such as <em>Helicobacter pylori<\/em>; she was co-supervisor of an experimental thesis.
