His research focuses on<strong> the anti-inflammatory activity of natural products<\/strong>, particularly at the gastrointestinal and skin levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout his career, Enrico Sangiovanni has co-authored <strong>more than 113 contributions presented at national and international conferences,<\/strong> <strong>78 peer-reviewed international scientific publications<\/strong> (H-index 28), and<strong> 3 book chapters<\/strong>. He has also served as principal investigator or co-investigator in <strong>17 funded research projects.<\/strong> Since 2011, he has been a member of the Interuniversity Research Centre on Malaria (CIRM); since 2012, a member of the Italian Society of Pharmacology (SIF); since 2019, of the Italian Society of Pharmacognosy (SIPHAR); and since 2020, of the IUPHAR Mediterranean Group of Natural Products Pharmacology (IMGNPP), which promotes the study and valorization of natural products from the Mediterranean area (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.imgnpp.org\/en\">www.imgnpp.org\/en<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently (a.a. 2025-2026) he is a professor of the courses of \u201cPhytotherapy for the skin\u201d, \u201cEtnopharmacology\u201d and \u201cPharmacognosy 2\u201d, as well as a member of the <strong>Steering Committee<\/strong>, at the <strong>Degree Course in Herbal Sciences and Technologies<\/strong> (UNIMI). He also teaches\u00a0&#8220;Pharmacological and Toxicological Activities of Substances of Natural Origin&#8221;\u00a0in the Bachelor\u2019s <strong>Degree in Toxicolgy for the Human and Environmental Safety<\/strong> (UNIMI). Among the third mission initiatives, Since 2025, he has been the DiSFeB Delegate for Public Engagement (Third Mission).
